We started this day visiting Lagoa das Furnas, Fumarolas and Parque Terra Nostra, which are located at Furnas. A village known for one of the most famous delicacy in all the Archipelago, the “Furnas cozido” (a meat or cod fish stew). The pans with the steam, after being carefully closed, are introduced in the volcanic soil that presents high temperatures, staying underneath for some hours in these “natural kitchens”.
After a lovelly “Furnas cozido” lunch, we went to Lagoa do Congro and to Vila Franca do Campo for some more beautiful sites.
